As a self-taught hand embroidery artist, I view the world through a unique lens where threads become my paint, and fabric, my canvas. Though my journey as an embroidery artist began independently, I have continually sought to expand my skills and refine my technique. My dedication has led me to take classes from the prestigious Royal School of Needlework. My work has been recognized and featured in various renowned publications, including Stitch magazine and featured by the San Francisco School of Needlework and Design, as well as numerous online blogs and magazines. My embroidery technique is a distinctive amalgamation of global influences, merging Western and Eastern styles to craft something truly singular. With profound respect, I draw inspiration from traditional Chinese embroidery artists. While I specialize in the technique called Silk Shading/Needle Painting, I still work many different forms free surface of embroidery.
Embroidery is more than just stitching—it’s a way to slow down, connect with creativity, and transform simple threads into works of art. In my one-on-one Zoom classes, I guide students through the timeless art of free surface embroidery, with a special focus on Silk Shading, also known as Needle Painting embroidery.

Each student begins by selecting a unique design that speaks to them. Together, we learn how to transform that inspiration into a workable embroidery pattern, from drawing the outline to refining the details. I help students choose the stitches that best capture the design, and select colors that bring it to life with depth, texture, and vibrancy.

Learning embroidery online may seem challenging, but my classes are designed to make the process feel natural and inspiring. As we meet via Zoom, I stitch the very same pattern along with you. This means you’ll always have a clear visual guide—not just instructions, but the chance to see each stitch form in real time.
Building Confidence & Creativity
My goal is to give you more than just technical skills. By the end of our sessions, you’ll feel confident not only following patterns, but also creating your own designs from scratch. I’ll show you how to break down an idea into stitches, how to approach color blending, and how to work through challenges so your embroidery feels joyful, not intimidating.
